Barn Sale!!!!!!!

Can I just tell you that I have been looking forward to this barn sale for MONTHS!! My sisters, cousins, and other Laidig gals planned this months back and I have been hunting and gathering items ever since (which sadly is not hard to do around here!).

I am excited not only because making money from junk, I mean treasures, is my cup of tea! But this has been a highlight also because its going to be a GIGANTIC SALE, but more importantly because it is 3 days+ of hanging out with awesome ladies!!! We even ordered shirts for ourselves!! I am hoping to sell enough to cover the cost of the tee ;) There are totaling 15 Laidig families (thus far!) that are contributing items. It should be pretty organized which is exciting, too!

Today was spent cleaning the barn and setting up tables, tomorrow is drop off day for all the items, and THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY you can all be prepared to come out and shop.

I plan to update tomorrow when we see what all is brought to sell, but so far these are a few of the items there:

Items include-- Yamaha 50cc bike with training wheels, double kids wagon, cast iron tub, treadmill, entertainment centers, end tables, desk, name brand boys clothing some toddler sizes & 8-12, little girls clothing, women's clothing sizes 2-10, vinyl siding, Vera Bradley, teen/ children's books and games, teaching/classroom materials, home and wall decor items, Shower curtains & bath mats, queen bedding set, rabbit cages, Creative Memories.....ETC!

Amazing Finds....

For those of you who don't know me all that well... I am a super, duper tight wad. Wadded up so tight that purchasing things out of our "monthly budget envelopes" happens rarely... and quite frankly puts a lot of stress on me because I am also a super, duper indecisive weanie. haha, can't believe I just wrote that :) So indecisive, in fact, that my sisters make fun of me because when I DO break down and get something decorative and cute for the house, it stays stashed away in a closet for weeks (or often times months) because I can't decide the perfect place to put it. A BabyGAP giftcard for Sienna's birthday sat in my purse for a whole 6 months because I just could NOT decide the perfect outfit. After several trips to BabyGAP and surfing on the net, I had Justin come along and he quickly spent the gift card on an outfit for our girly. I'm THAT bad.

Anyways- Sienna and I were out this week to get the good ole' oil changed. We waited patiently (as patiently as a 16 month old can wait) fed her mounds of cheerios, a carton of yogurt, and what seemed like an entire sleeve of crackers. When the car was done, Sienna and her full tummy were still in good spirits so we headed to this itty bitty store, called Tuesday Mornings, that was in the same parking lot. I ventured in there seeing a sign that read, "50% OFF ALL CLEARANCE ITEMS" That always makes my heart happy :)

I walk into pure chaos and began venturing down the isles. Can I just boast real quickly about a few amazing finds?!?! Pretty please?

This is by far more than what Sienna got on Christmas Day or her birthday!!! (Are we absolutely horrible, we didn't buy her anything?!? I know, hold your gasps. She didn't know the difference so we figured we would take advantage of her naivety ... we will just call these a few belated presents).

This beauty made me smile :) I've been looking for a little wooden kitchen for quite some time, but the prices were just too high. I like to stick to neutral, but this was to precious to pass up!!

So, long story short, a quick trip out (that wasn't going to include ANY shopping...) included some big time purchases for our big-eyed cutie petutie. Justin was please with the deals and some fun, new summer toys for Sienna. Needless to say, she loved it. She will walk in and see her new toys after her nap and gasp like it's the first time she has seen them :) Ahhh the little things :)

Anyway- thanks for listening to me boast. I had to share my excitement!!

More in Love everyday :)

This morning was similar to most of the rest... waking up with Justin and packing his lunch and eating a good ole' bowl of cereal together before he goes off to work. Hearing Sienna stir, I get her bottle ready and start my planning of how I am going to get my shower now that she is up ;) Every mom's question when they hear their kiddos start rustling.

After hauling the pack 'n play in the bathroom so I could hop in the shower while Sienna sips down her milk, I accomplished my morning shower as we jabbered back and forth in the bathroom. This girl is a CHATTERBOX and I Love it!!! She is communicating more and more everyday.. which leads me to my next point. :) After changing her extremely full diaper ((...Yick)) she started to get cranky and fuss. When I asked her what was wrong and if she was still tired, she replied "Night Night". A tad shocked, I asked her, do you want to go night night? She shook her cute little head and I rocked her and laid her back down. Two hours later, the dishes done, grocery list made, coupons printed, the web surfed, and emails returned... I am feeling antsy to knock out at least one thing on my "To Do List". I peek in on her and see her growing body is now taking up way more than half the crib...when did this happen?!?. Her little eyelids fluttering, and feet doing some small twitching, in some sort of exciting dream, I am sure :) I feel bad waking her.

Justin and I were laying in bed last night talking about how amazing our little girly is. How he grows to love her more every single day. How excited he is to raise her into a strong woman. Despite the moodiness, rebellion, and sassiness that I fear in the future... I am excited to see this precious little girl grow to be a young woman someday (... but i'm not wanting to rush it one bit...) I love the her sweet innocence and snuggles, her growing ability to be able to communicate what she wants.

Hmmm.. I hear somebody kicking the side of their crib ;) Time to tackle to day :)
